Overview
The B.Des in Fashion Design course helps graduates hone their creative, technical, intellectual and communication skills. In today’s dynamic and competitive fashion industry, in order to stay ahead of the game, you need to have knowledge about the latest styles, trends and technology. That is the key focus of our design course. We teach students how to design and construct clothing items and accessories. The Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design programme is a four-year undergraduate course that covers eight semesters. It is open to anyone who has completed their 10+2 from a reputed university/board. While academic excellence is integral to the programme, students will also be given practical exposure so that they can hone their skills.
Program Learning Outcomes
The bachelor in fashion design course offers comprehensive education in fashion design. A few subjects covered in the vast course curriculum are basics of fashion, principle of fashion, elements of design, introduction to textiles, fashion illustration, garment making and construction, and sewing techniques. Students will also learn how to embrace modern technology for garment and textile making. To succeed in the competitive fashion industry today, only design knowledge isn’t enough. Thus, the key focus of our curriculum is to blend design with marketing, business acumen and entrepreneurial skills. Industry exposure is a vital part of our undergraduate fashion design course. Every student will be given internship, networking and hands-on project opportunities.
