Interior Design students embarked on a site visit to the Handicraft and Service Centre, focusing particularly on craftsmanship and pottery making. The visit was intended to provide students with practical exposure to traditional handicrafts and pottery making techniques, enriching their understanding of materiality and craftsmanship in interior design.
It aimed to expose students to local cultural heritage, fostering an appreciation for indigenous crafts and techniques within the context of interior design. Students were invited to participate in a hands-on pottery making session under the guidance of experienced instructors. This practical engagement enabled students to experiment with clay, explore various forming techniques, and gain a tactile understanding of material properties crucial for interior design applications.
